Important information regarding investment scams and cold calls

We have been notified that some members of the public have recently been victims of scammers purporting to work for Invesco or its subsidiaries. Victims of these scams have reported visiting websites and subsequently being contacted by the scammers, who have provided convincing literature relating to investments products.

Our staff will not make cold calls or contact you by telephone or email to make investment recommendations. This a sophisticated attempt at fraudulently acquiring money and information through an “identity theft” scam. After paying money to invest into these fictitious products, victims of such scams typically never hear anything again.

If you have been contacted

If you have been contacted in this manner we would urge you to exercise extreme caution and not to respond to the callers in any way. We recommend you report the approach to the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) on +33 1 53 45 60 00 or on their website  https://www.amf-france.org/fr/signaler-une-arnaque-ou-une-anomalie.

If you think you may have made a payment as a result of a scam, please contact your bank immediately. We also recommend that you report the scam to Info Escroquerie (the national fraud and cybercrime reporting centre) on 0 805 805 817.

If you are ever unsure about the credentials of anyone who tells you they are calling from Invesco, please call us on +33 1 56 62 43 00. Please note telephone calls may be recorded.

We have also issued warnings about a previous scam which may still be in circulation:

1) An investment scam using the name “Cedre Invest”

Members of the public have previously made us aware of approaches by a company identifying itself as “Cedre Invest”, which allegedly offers financial services in wines & spirits. Please note that this firm is not connected to Invesco or any of its subsidiaries.
