Invesco Notice

Investment scam warning

Invesco is aware of a number of ongoing scams targeting consumers and the broader community including the promotion of non-existent investments offering inflated returns, impersonation of legitimate investment products and posting of fake job advertisements on social media platforms.

Please be advised that Invesco Australia will never contact consumers directly with offers to invest in products such as Treasury bonds, Australian Government Bonds or Fixed Term Deposits or solicit business in online chat groups. We will never ask you for your personal or financial information via email and we do not ask for payment at any time during our employment process.

Financial services firms worldwide are increasingly being targeted by cyber criminals. Among other things, cyber criminals are sending falsified branded documentation or creating fake websites to encourage potential investors who may be acting directly without the assistance of an adviser, to invest in non-existent investment products or enticing job applicants to disclose personal information via social media, chat groups, email or through fraudulent web portals. For more information, please visit the Australian Government Moneysmart or Scamwatch websites.

Please be vigilant if you are contacted by someone you don’t know offering you an investment opportunity. Please be careful when opening e-mail links or sharing your personal information.

If you are concerned that you may have been targeted by an investment or recruitment scam - or if you simply want to confirm the information you are viewing is legitimate - please do not hesitate to contact our client services team on Freecall 1800 813 500; from 8.30am to 4.30pm; Monday to Friday (Melbourne time) or by email clientservices.au@invesco.com.
