James Cowen is a Managing Director, Portfolio Manager and member of the Real Estate Securities Portfolio Management and Research team with Invesco Real Estate. His duties include portfolio management and the evaluation of global real estate markets and companies with a primary focus on the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. 

James entered the real estate industry in 1998 and joined Invesco in 2000. Before joining the Real Estate Securities team in 2004, he worked in a real estate corporate finance role for Invesco in Europe and asa financial analyst for a management consulting company based in London. 

James earned a Master of Town and Country Planning degree from the University of Manchester and a Master of Philosophy degree in land economy from Cambridge University. 

He is an FCA (UK Financial Conduct Authority) approved person.
