In honor of International Human Rights Day (IHRD) on Dec. 10, 2020, Invesco hosted a virtual employee event with Adah Parris, a futurist, storyteller, and cultural strategist, to share her perspective.
A polymath and enthusiastic curator of people, patterns, and stories, Adah was recognized as one of the UK’s Top 100 Black and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Leaders in Technology in 2018. In 2019, she was nominated by Google as one of the TED Talks Global Emerging Innovators.
The 2020 theme for International Human Rights Day was Recover Better – Stand Up for Human Rights. Adah spoke on the importance of ending discrimination, addressing inequalities, encouraging participation and solidarity in these times of uncertainty, and personal wellness.
