Shekhar Sambhshivan
Shekhar Sambhshivan joined Invesco in May 2006 as an Investment Director specializing in the Indian market. He has been the lead manager of Indian equity portfolios and a key member of Invesco Asia Equity Investment Team based primarily in Hong Kong since 2006. Effective 30 March 2015, he became co-manager for Asia Consumer Demand portfolios. Shekhar was the Chief Investment Officer at SBI Life Insurance Co. Ltd. in Mumbai, India from 2001 to April 2006, responsible for life insurance funds, pension funds as well as a unit linked fund. Shekhar was a fund manager at ING Investment Management (India) PVT Ltd. from 1998 to 2001, and at IDBI Investment Management Company Ltd. from 1995 to 1998. He was a manager covering money and debt markets at Imperial Corporate Finance & Services PVT Ltd. from 1992 to 1995.
Shekhar had a Bachelor of Science (Technology) degree from the University of Mumbai, India. He is a licentiate from Insurance Institute of India.
