Ron Kantowitz
Head of Private Debt, Managing Director
Ronald Kantowitz is Managing Director and Head of Private Debt for Invesco’s Global Private Credit team. In this role, he serves as lead portfolio manager for the firm’s US direct lending capabilities. Mr. Kantowitz also serves on the investment committees for US direct lending, European upper middle market lending, and opportunistic credit.
Mr. Kantowitz joined Invesco in 2018. Prior to joining the firm, he was a managing director at Benefit Street Partners (BSP), where he established the company’s direct lending origination network, focusing on private equity firms, intermediaries, and middle market debt providers.
Previously, Mr. Kantowitz founded the US financial sponsors/leveraged finance group at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), growing the platform into a market leader. At RBS, Ron also served as head of US non-core bank, where he was responsible for developing the company’s asset disposition strategies, negotiating portfolio exits, establishing valuation frameworks, and regulatory compliance. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kantowitz worked at Bank of America and Chase Manhattan Bank, where he was responsible for providing debt solutions to middle market companies and private equity firms.
Mr. Kantowitz earned a BS degree in business administration from the University at Albany,
State University of New York and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
